April 26, 2006 20:20 - Welcome to My Achieving Life Abundance News Blog

This is my first entry into my new blog. Just saying hello and letting you know that you'll want to check back often for more tips and info regarding achieving abundance, personal and spiritual growth, financial abundance, self motivation and confidence!

April 26, 2006 21:14 - Focus On One Self Development Issue At A Time

Sometimes, I find that people put up their own roadblocks to personal growth. One of those barriers is trying to make too much change all at once.

There are many categories you may want to make changes in and achieve abundance in:
  • Career or Business

  • Relationships

  • Your emotions

  • Your thought processes

  • Personal Finance

  • Your health
If you try to create positive change in all these areas at once, you're just going to face frustration as you get burned out. What normally happens is, you get so overwhelmed with all the things you put on your plate, that you De-Motivate yourself. You find it hard to just get started.

Avoid sabotaging yourself like this. Instead, focus on one (maybe two) things you would like to see improvement in and work on that for a month or two or three. Change isn't always immediate. Read on that area, seek out products that can help you see things differently.

Have patience with yourself. Before you know it, positive self development occurs and you're achieving abundance and happiness in a new area!

April 27, 2006 01:29 - Self Development - Become A Wise Sage Yourself

I came across an interesting self development article. Here's a brief quote:

Successful people themselves have similar characteristics.
  • First, they are self-confident without being arrogant. This comes from being self-aware: knowing one’s strengths and weaknesses, knowing one’s goals and remaining true to one’s values and capabilities.
  • Second, they are willing to grow by challenging their limits of knowledge and experience.
  • And third, they are willing to reflect and learn from experience.
The article goes on to talk about an ancient sage as someone who becomes wise because of experience and reflection. It also goes into a few key points on self development, such as knowing your strengths as well as your weaknesses and taking time to reflect.

Yes, things I've already talked about on my site, but I thought it may benefit you to hear it from another person's perspective.

I've provided a link below so you can read the entire article...

April 28, 2006 01:16 - Will You Listen To Your Inner Voice?

Your inner voice is trying to help you. Do you listen? Really listen? You definitely need to start looking within yourself for answers if you find that you're constantly feeling confused and anxious. Did you know that your outer voice can be...

April 28, 2006 16:54 - Inner Peace and Abundance

Why is the concept of achieving inner peace and abundance so important? There's probably a million reasons why, depending on who you're talking to. I'll give you four that came to my mind immediately after hearing the question asked...

April 29, 2006 22:39 - Achieving Inner Peace

I came across an interesting article regarding the importance of finding and maintaining inner peace. Here's a quote from the article, written by Murray Gordon,

"When anger, hatred, greed and jealousy overcome us, we need to identify what is happening within ourselves. What is it that destroys our peace and happiness? By identifying the real enemies, we can go about confronting and transforming them.

We tend to believe only things outside of ourselves are our enemies. However, we can find ways to change these enemies into friends - for example by communicating, negotiating, understanding, etc. On the other hand, the more we attempt to make friends with our internal enemies, the stronger they become. When we have the mind-set of craving and hatred, there will always be external enemies. That is our enslavement!

Think of times when you were filled with anger and resentment. Did your actions and decisions at those times bring well-being for yourself and others? Or did they bring confusion and disharmony?"

My goal here isn't to convert you to Buddhism. As you may know from reading my site, I don't "push" any specific religion. I aim to put ideas from anywhere they can be found that make sense for the pursuit of happiness and abundance in your life. If you're still struggling with attaining inner peace, read the article! April 30, 2006 21:05 - How To Find Inner Peace Now

I'd like to talk about the idea of how to find inner peace. You may be seeking ideas on how to achieve an inner stillness that fills you with a sense of peace and abundance. First of all, this "state of being" is something you can accomplish. It just takes your decision that you want to learn how and then have the patience to work on it...
