June 1, 2007 09:08 - The Bumblebee & More...

"My company mascot is the bumblebee.

"Because of its tiny wings and heavy body, aerodynamically the bumblebee shouldn't be able to fly.

"But the bumblebee doesn't know that, so it flies anyway." - Mary Kay Ash

"Attitude defies limitation and exceeds expectation." - Unknown

"One joy shatters a hundred griefs" - Chinese Proverb

"If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow." - Chinese Proverb

June 6, 2007 21:28 - Authentic Happiness - To Find Authentic Happiness, You Must Find Yourself First

Discovering authentic happiness is a special key to achieving life abundance. Achieving abundance in your life is going to be especially difficult if you can't face each day with a sense of hope as well as a feeling of contentment. If deep down, no matter how much you try to convince yourself otherwise, you're unhappy with the current direction of your life, it's time to face up to it. It's time to make the necessary changes that will lead to authentic happiness.

June 8, 2007 22:41 - Aren't People Great?

In a world that can too often stress the negative issues we may face, it never ceases to amaze me how much people really want to better their lives and strive for personal growth.

I receive quite a few contacts through my contact page from visitors such as yourself that either ask questions of me or just express their own personal feelings regarding how to achieve life abundance.

It's great to have this interaction where we can talk to one another and share ideas.

While the media tries to paint a picture of how terrible everything is and gives us reasons why we should look toward the future scared and skeptical, my own interaction with my visitors from Canada to America to India to China paints a far different picture.

People aren't much different no matter where we may come from. We all simply want the chance to learn more about ourselves and to improve on who we are.

We don't desire for world domination like the crazy nuts supposedly "leading" us, do we? Nope... we simply want to enjoy life, grow as people, and pass warmth and happiness to our fellow man.

Keep those wonderful questions and comments coming. I really enjoy reading about all the wonderful people that are really out there!

June 12, 2007 10:58 - Don't Fake It

In your desire to better yourself financially, be careful not to fall into that "fake it til you make it" trap.

I used to be involved with a business opportunity about 8-9 years ago where they used this saying quite a bit.

It's a dangerous saying. It's basically saying that while you're on your way to financial success and abundance, you should "act the part".

Even if you really can't afford it yet, you should lease the BMW, buy the Rolex, and wear the $1000 suit. Don't worry, the money will roll in soon and everything will be just fine.

This is exactly what the wealthy didn't do on their way to the top. Over extending yourself isn't the way to riches.

All you do is get yourself mired in credit card and it becomes demoralizing. I watched many people around me living this way... they were acting as though everything was wonderful while they were worried out of their minds about how they were going to pay for all their "stuff".

Don't worry about what anyone is saying around you. Be responsible to yourself and your inner peace. Go at your own pace if your goal is financial abundance. Save the first "extra" money that begins to come in. Make yourself healthy financially before you begin with any "toys" you may desire.

The people that rise to the top slowly and responsibly are the ones who keep that lifestyle into old age.

Don't fake it til you make it. Make it, then live it for real. I promise you, you'll be happy you did it the right way.

June 15, 2007 20:10 - Feeling Separateness is Hurting All of Us

I would have to say that the greatest reason for unhappiness is the false belief that you're separate from everything around you.

Isn't it amazing that when someone cuts you off on the freeway or says something harsh to you that you actually believe they did it on purpose specifically to make you miserable and unhappy?

How silly ;-)

You see, this comes from allowing your ego to lead rather than your higher self.

When you refuse to look within to find the meaning for why you're here, you live the lie of "separateness".

Rather than seeing the truth, which is that you're merely a part of the greater consciousness, you believe the falsehood convincing you that you're "in here" and everything you see is "out there".

It's this duality that results in your misery. When you decide to overcome your ego's earthly view through the eyes of your higher spiritual self, then you will discover what bliss is.

The next time someone "does something to you", realize that they're "asleep at the wheel of life".

They don't understand what they're doing to themselves, not to you. Their ego is telling them that they're getting the best of another person (maybe you), but this is a lie.

In reality, they're only hurting themselves.

When you understand this concept, you're well on your way to living a life of "so be it".

No matter what happens, you can say "So Be It" and continue on unaffected by the physical world that used be so important to you.

June 18, 2007 22:05 - Are You Living in Balance?

Are you living a balanced life?

Are your relationships suffering because you're spending too much time on the financial area of your life?

Is your physical health not where it should be because you aren't healthy spiritually?

It's time to take an inventory of yourself to see where you are... whether you're living in balance.

Pay very close attention to whether you're falling in the trap of "Once I get my financial goals accomplished, THEN I'll work harder on my marriage or my spiritual growth".

You really need to sit down and assess where you are in all the areas of your life. Figure out what you're neglecting and work on improving it now.

Don't push it off into the "future".

The only thing you ever, ever have is the present moment. When you talk in terms of "someday", someday never comes.

Why?

Because in every "present" moment of your life, you're thinking that "someday" you'll get to it. Therefore you never get to it because it's impossible to live a moment of your life in "someday" mode.

It's only possible to live in "now" mode. So, anything you don't place importance on achieving now will never be achieved.

June 19, 2007 22:42 - Wraparound Mortgage - Benefits of the Wraparound Mortgage

A wraparound mortgage is one of the tools you can use when investing in real estate. If you want to buy real estate as a tool to achieve financial abundance but are lacking the cash for a large down-payment, don't despair. You don't need to have a ton of cash to get into that first property. As a matter of fact, you can get in with no money at all. Unknown to many people, there are "no money down" methods for investing in real estate...

June 23, 2007 20:41 - Valuing Your Integrity to Yourself

"Living with integrity means: Not settling for less than what you know you deserve in your relationships. Asking for what you want and need from others.

"Speaking your truth, even though it might create conflict or tension. Behaving in ways that are in harmony with your personal values. Making choices based on what you believe, and not what others believe."
- Barbara De Angelis

There's a lot to the above quote, isn't there? Think hard about whether you're living your life with integrity as it pertains to how you treat yourself.

Do you allow yourself to develop relationships with people where you sacrifice who you are in order to make others happy?

Do you find yourself holding your tongue when it comes to your opinion on a matter that might stir up a little controversy?

Do you allow yourself to be swayed by others in decisions that are against your true inner values?

If you live in any of these ways, you know it. Even if you've never tackled them "head on" before, you're familiar with that unsettled feeling in your gut. You know that you never feel quite "right".

When did this all begin? When did you begin to lose your integrity to yourself?

If you recognize this in yourself, I urge you to make the changes necessary in your life to come back into harmony with your true values on how you should be living your life.

Helping others and holding back certain opinions have their proper places, but not at the expense of being able to feel completely comfortable with yourself and how you live your life on a daily basis.

"A man has to live with himself, and he should see to it that he always has good company." - Charles Evans Hughes

June 25, 2007 15:37 - Passion & the Law of Attraction

Here are ten reasons why passion can energize the Law of Attraction in whatever you do:

1) Passion inspires you to take focused action.

Though action isn’t always necessary to receive positive outcomes, it sure does help!

When you take action, you are helping to bridge the gap between the spiritual and physical planes of existence. Focused action can intensify and direct energy in powerful ways, which intensifies your results.

2) Passion encourages creative inspiration.

Have you ever received an amazing idea while you were feeling passionate and excited about something else?

Passion is a higher frequency vibration that will attract more high-frequency vibrations - like creativity and ingenuity.

3) Passion can inspire clarity and insight about the right path for you.

Though there really aren’t any "wrong" paths in life, there are certainly easier ones and more difficult ones!

The more passionate you feel about something, the more meaningful and important it will become.

4) Passion blots out fear and resistance.

How can you feel anxious when you’re feeling great about what you’re doing?

The more you focus on passion and enthusiasm for your activities, the less likely you are to experience fear or worry.

June 26, 2007 11:47 - Drug Companies Drugging Children

"The latest in a series of reports says that one British child in ten suffers depression.

"In fact, the real figure may be only one in 100. But constant exams, pushy parents and 24-hour communication mean many more are anxious and unhappy...

... the idea of children becoming clinically depressed is still relatively new.

"Until the 1980s it was not thought that a child could suffer from the illness in the same way as an adult. Indeed, some doctors still hold with the Freudian view that before puberty children are incapable of experiencing depression in the true sense because they have not yet developed a superego.

"Some teenagers seeking help for symptoms of depression say that they have met with scepticism and, at times, dimissiveness from their GPs.

"Yet at the same time we are being told continually that the incidence of childhood depression is increasing.

"Between 1991 and 2001 the number of children prescribed antidepressants in the UK rose by 70 per cent, amid an apparent epidemic of self-harm and eating disorders.

"An estimated 35,000 children and teenagers are currently being treated with Prozac-type drugs..."

Personally, I believe that many children are being turned onto drugs purposely by a corrupted pharmaceutical industry, combined with their control of the food we eat.

Many foods made for children include red dyes and other substances that make children hyper and to have a tendency to "act out". After "coming down", the child feels "depressed".

Then, the psychologist is called in and the parents are told their child needs to be drugged to get better.

Instead, investigate which foods and additives are causing your child to be affected in this way. It just may save you and your family quite a bit of pain.

June 28, 2007 10:13 - Quality Quotes on Integrity

The other day I wrote about living with integrity and not allowing others to dictate your values. Here's a few other quotes about integrity I dug up...

"Live with integrity, respect the rights of other people, and follow your own bliss." - Nathaniel Branden

"Dignity consists not in possessing honors, but in the consciousness that we deserve them." - Aristotle

"It takes less time to do a thing right, than it does to explain why you did it wrong." - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

"I cannot find language of sufficient energy to convey my sense of the sacredness of private integrity." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"My goal in life is to be as good of a person my dog already thinks I am." - Unknown

"Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary." - Cecil Beaton

"If you don't have integrity, you have nothing. You can't buy it. You can have all the money in the world, but if you are not a moral and ethical person, you really have nothing." - Henry Kravis

"Men of integrity, by their very existence, rekindle the belief that as a people we can live above the level of moral squalor. We need that belief; a cynical community is a corrupt community." - John W. Gardner
"The greatest justice in life is to be who one is." - Vanna Bonta

June 29, 2007 23:20 - New Retirement Model

The previous generation, known as the Silent Generation, retired to a life of golf and bridge, not necessarily finding the happiness they sought after leaving the corporate world. But the Boomers do not want to repeat this pattern.

They were born between 1946 and the 1960s into the aftermath of World War 2. It was a time for new beginnings and they drove the world economy to the heights it has reached today. They created a standard of living, wealth and lifestyle that far exceeded that of the previous generation.

And though not long ago it was almost unheard of for any successful corporate type, let alone a CEO, to quit years before the expected retirement age of 60 or 65, this is no longer the case.

... So, as the prescribed corporate retirement age beckons, many are not ready to go quietly into oblivion.

Smith believes retirement will be about a new era of exploration, mastery, mentorship and change for Boomers. "There will be a whole new model of retirement," she says. "The new trend will be cycles of work and leisure."

Note From Matt - This post was an excerpt from a great article I had found. I've had to take away the link because the article was taken down off the net and created a broken link from my site.
