August 1, 2007 22:20 - Different Look at "The Secret"

I was thinking today about the Law of Attraction.
If you've seen the movie, The Secret, then you'll know what I'm talking about.

I've written about this elsewhere on my site, also.

This has to do with visualization and seeing in your mind that which you want to manifest in your life.

Like attracts like.

If you're vibrating on a level of negativity, you can expect to attract more negativity to you. Conversely, if you're vibrating and thinking on a positive level, you can expect to receive back that which you desire and visualize in your mind at this time.

Here's the thing, though, that sometimes gets me thinking...

How come most of the writing and teaching I see regarding this spiritual law is all about attracting material possessions?

The cars, huge homes, a billion dollars, etc.

I don't know about you, but those things really just don't motivate me. Sure, I love nice things, don't get me wrong, and I have financial goals. It's just that I don't need a mansion to feel inner peace and a sense of "knowing" who I am.

As a matter of fact, lately I've been feeling an inner need to simplify my life. Less stuff, less baggage to carry around sounds really nice to me right now.

I wouldn't mind a year in a cottage with plenty of reading material and a laptop!

Anyway, I just wanted to express that maybe you need to pay attention (close attention!) to your own inner feelings.

Are more material possessions a part of your wanting because they're meant to be in your life or because of your ego or because of society's messages you're bombarded with daily?

If so, then visualize and have at it (lol)

However, if you're sensing that your inner peace and spiritual wholeness needs something deeper, then maybe you shouldn't torture yourself with making goals that really don't motivate you deep down.

Be careful with what you're trying to attract with "The Secret". Make sure the Law of Attraction is being utilized to attract that which harmonizes with your soul, not your ego.

Any thoughts on this one? If so, hit the "comments" button below and let us all know!

August 2, 2007 23:11 - Eckart Tolle Video - Your Inner Space

Eckart Tolle helps you remove your focus on "form" as you learn to look within and become "present" in the here and now. Listen and learn to tune in to "what is". It's when you can learn to forget past, future, and even TIME that you find inner peace.

August 5, 2007 12:54 - Don't Wait to Pursue Your Purpose

We always hear about people that have a serious accident and come extremely close to dying.

Many people relate a slowing down of, as well as a fragmentation of, time, as they experience their accident.

For example, people talking about a serious car accident they've been involved with relate how the experience comes back in fragments as they try to piece together what happened.

Many times, the memory is one where the events of the accident play out in their minds almost as if in slow motion.

Actually, it's not just the memory but the event itself that they remember as being slowed down.

In the midst of a terrifying moment in time, rather than it going by quickly, the events of the accident are surreal, almost "unreal".

It's almost as if the mind and soul are heightened with a great "awareness" as the person senses that their time here in our physical realm is coming to a close.

When we face these types of situations, we're forced out of our "comfort zone" as our higher self overtakes the earth-bound ego.

Isn't it amazing how many people, after a near death moment, come out of it with a new sense of purpose?

They've become more enlightened that their day-to-day existence must mean so much more than they've allowed themselves to ever realize before.

So here's the question... why do so many people never pursue this higher plane of existence on their own?

Since the majority of us will never have one of these near-death-experiences, that means most people come to the end of physical life here never realizing the true purpose for those 50, 60, 70 years...

While I still feel as though I've yet to discover my ultimate purpose, I'm happy I decided to question what it is.

I hope you become inspired to chase after your dreams and to discover your life purpose also.

Don't wait for "near death"... you just might have waited too late if your "near death experience" happens to be your "final experience" ;-)

August 8, 2007 21:42 - Meditation

Today, I'd like to help you focus on meditation.

There are various methods to how you can meditate. I'm not going to get into the various methods today, I just want to pass on why you should think seriously about making this a daily habit for yourself.

This is especially important if you allow yourself to be dominated by your ego.

Are your days filled with stress, anxiety, and a fearful outlook toward your life?

If so, I think it's time you invested a few minutes each morning or night (or both!) to look within, reflect on your higher self, and begin to see how wonderful and deep your inner Being truly is.

Meditation allows you the opportunity to quiet your mind of all the incessant "chatter" that creates your feelings of anxiety and insecurity.

As you master the art of meditation, you'll go through longer periods of "no-thought", which means you'll bring true inner peace to your soul.

Commit to just beginning this process for yourself. Start by investigating various meditation methods, find one that sounds comfortable to you, and just have a go at it.

I'm confident you'll discover a sense of calm within as the feelings of despair and hopelessness dissipate into nothingness.

August 10, 2007 08:59 - Life Abundance Product Reviews

Discover reviews on the products and services I believe will improve your over-all Life Abundance. At one of his seminars I attended, Brian Tracy made the point that successful people invested 3% of their income in products, books, seminars, etc. that would translate into an improvement in their skills, character, self confidence, and abundance. I personally took that to heart and it's the reason this page exists.

August 13, 2007 22:05 - Developing Multiple Streams of Income

A few years ago, I read Multiple Streams of Income, by Robert Allen and it struck a cord with me.

I was reading it at a time when many people were discussing the changes in the economy where multinational companies were outsourcing jobs to foreign countries.

This is a touchy subject for many people, especially those who have seen their jobs evaporate!

For me, it just made sense to begin learning how to create an income in more than one area. I could see that it was futile to complain about the changes in this "new economy" (funny, I haven't heard that term in awhile).

Anyway, in Multiple Streams, Allen discusses his "Three Great Money Mountains":
  • Real Estate Mountain
  • Investment Mountain
  • Marketing Mountain
Ever since, I've been learning about, working in, and climbing these Mountain Ranges.

My point today is simply to open your mind to doing the same. It takes time, commitment, and perseverance to learn the Entrepreneur Mindset as you leave the Employee Mindset behind.

But think about it, how much do you really enjoy the Employee Mindset? You've been taught (more like brainwashed, methinks) by those who profit off of your labor (the entrepreneur owning your company) that being an employee is safe and the way to go.

When those jobs disappear as the entrepreneur finds cheaper labor, how safe do you feel?

And even if your job stays permanent the next 40 years, how much do you enjoy asking another adult when you can vacation, see your family, and most importantly, HOW MUCH YOUR LIFE IS WORTH?

There's a plethora of info out there to teach you how to make money online, in real estate, in the stock market, etc.

You might want to start by reading Allen's book as I did.

Additionally, I've recently written a review about investing in tax liens that you may find interesting.

Or, if you don't want to read Robert Allen's 350 page book right now, you can take advantage of his Ultimate Real Estate System.

Whether you take advantage of any of these resources or find your own, I can't recommend enough that you take the time to develop multiple streams of income for yourself.

Your future self will thank you for it.

August 16, 2007 21:09 - Letting Go of a Loved One

I ran across an article recently where someone was having trouble dealing with the death of their grandfather.

I understand completely. I lost my grandmother almost two and a half years ago.

If you've lost a loved one and can't seem to come to grips with it, I hope I can offer you a little support.

Many times, we feel guilt after we lose someone we care about.
For me, it was the fact that I hadn't stayed in touch the way I knew I should have with my grandmother. Why didn't I take more time out to spend time with her?

I beat myself up for a long time over thoughts like that. Did I disappoint her? Did I hurt her?

But you know what? I've come to realize that all these rambling thoughts aren't necessary.

I know that although she and I didn't spend a huge amount of time together during her life, she knew how much I cared for her and how much I loved her.

I know this because when were together, I remember the special way she looked at me and talked to me.

Those are the memories I keep in my mind and heart. Those memories are living proof that she felt good about our relationship.

Whoever you've lost, they knew you loved them... no matter any trouble that may have existed between you.

They knew... understand that and take that to heart... heal yourself with constructive thoughts about your relationship with your loved one.

Forgive yourself and remember the joyous times.

August 19, 2007 23:20 - Allow Yourself to be "You"

I talk quite a bit about the importance of taking the feelings of others into account in your life.

I talk about how vital it is to remember that we're all connected on a higher, spiritual plane.

The "Golden Rule" is something to remember, no matter your religious or spiritual affiliation.

However, always remember that if you don't live an authentic existence, eventually there won't be any energy left to give to others.

We're an amazing species.

We can live for years sacrificing our needs for someone else... seemingly everything is OK.

Until you come to a point where you realize that your inner-most needs must be met.

If you're in a situation where you're coming to realize that you've suppressed who you are, lived inauthentically in order to ensure the happiness of another, I urge you to look at what this is doing to your inner spirit.

I urge you to take a step back and consider the harm you're doing to yourself.

Yes, we must be on the look-out to help others in this life.

However, we can only help others to the extent that we're healthy ourselves. If you're burying the "true you" inside for someone else's benefit, eventually you're going to come to a day of "personal reckoning".

Make sure that inside every day of your life, you allow yourself the time to be exactly who you are supposed to "be".

August 22, 2007 22:39 - Don't You Want to Earn Passive Income?

On the subject of building your financial abundance, nothing (in my opinion) is more fun than watching passive income roll into your bank account.

Sure, you need to work on areas that bring in earnings for you only when you actually do "new" work.

But, what could be better than doing something once and then earning money from it continually without ever doing any more "work"?

There are many ways to build passive income into your life.

Today, I'm going to mention two ideas to you that you may want to focus on.

1) You can earn quite a bit of income selling products for others as an affiliate.

You can sign up as an affiliate for existing products at places such as Clickbank and Commission Junction. You can even make money with this idea without having a website of your own.

When you make a search in Google, do you see those ads on the right hand side? You can place ads there that link to the program you're promoting and when someone buys, whoila! you get a check!

This is one way I myself earn income online. It's not exactly passive income because you do have to keep an eye on your "campaigns", but I consider it passive because it is "hands off" for the most part after I set up a successful campaign.

If you want to know more about this, I can't recommend Google Cash enough. It's the product that taught me all about how to make the money I do through this method.

2) You can earn income by setting up and running your very own websites like I do with the site you're reading now ;-)

As I've mentioned many times here, I can't recommend Site Build It enough. Without the owner, Ken Evoy, and his wonderful company, you wouldn't be reading my words today.

These are two ways I enjoy bringing in passive income.

They may or may not be for you. However, if you investigate them and feel the way I do, you too can feel the rush of passive income flowing into your life!

August 25, 2007 20:21 - Google Cash
You Do Use Google, Don't You?

If you use Google for your online searches and you're frustrated about how you're going to make money online, the answer has been literally staring you in the face. Have you ever noticed those ads to the right when you enter a keyword into Google and do a search? Did you know that you could place ads there yourself and earn a ton of money from them? Don't think so? Think again.

August 28, 2007 19:16 - Investment in Real Estate - Finding the Money

Did you know that making an investment in real estate could be your ticket out of the rat race? Of course, only buying one investment property isn't going to earn you enough to quit your "day job" so you can retire early. However, once you buy that first property, you're now on your way down the proper path...

August 31, 2007 23:02 - Controversy Over My "Google Cash" Endorsement!

Controversy! I love it!

I received an email today from Mark of San Antonio, Texas.

In his message to me, Mark has expressed great frustration regarding my viewpoint on Google Cash (which I expressed in a post last week)...
"Matt, I've been a reader of your website for several months now. I've also been a subscriber to your monthly newsletter. I just finished reading your "review" of the Google Cash ebook and, as a result, have also UNSUBSCRIBED from your newsletter!

"Why? Because you've been exposed as a charlatan.

"I bought that Google Cash crap months ago. I believed the hype. I gave it a shot. And you know what? I made zilch. Actually, I lost money because I had to pay Google for my ads while the affiliate program I picked made zero sales. Nada! Nothing!

"I thought you were a person of integrity. I thought you were different. Obviously, I was wrong. You're just another person with no morals, acting all rightous, hawking the next product that isn't worth the hype. See ya."

At first read, you might think I'm upset at Mark. However, I'm merely amused by his email.

You see, Mark is expressing a viewpoint I'm all too familiar with.

Back when I was building my financial services business, I ran into many "Marks". People who meant well, people who desired a better life, people who seemed like the type of person I could help... at first.
However, at the first sign of trouble, this type of person would get frustrated and lash out at anyone in their path. They'd find others to blame for their failure. They'd yell and scream that they were taken advantage of.

Mark, you gave it a shot? That sounds to me like you read the book quickly, threw up a campaign without much thought and failed.

And you know what? That's exactly what the majority of people do. No plan, no patience, no expectation of a "learning curve".

I understand your frustration. I know you really want to find a way to get ahead.

But you need to heed my advice. In the post you're upset with, I did say...

"I'm not promising you that you're going to buy "Google Cash" and become rich overnight! In fact, I didn't make a dime for six months after reading it.

... "I tell you that so you know that there's no "magic bullet" out there. No matter what method you try for bettering your financial position, there's always a learning curve.

... "You see, there's an entire section in the book where Chris goes over how to test and track your "campaigns".

... "Once I went back and took advantage of his awesome tracking info and resources (he actually gives you his own personal tracking documents, which I stupidly ignored at first), I began to have success.

"Now, I'm making money every day using the techniques and strategies Chris thankfully gives out in his book."

So, you see Mark, very few people have success with any money making method the first time out. The winners try something, adjust their method, and then continue to try.

In my life, I've discovered that those who complain the loudest just never make it. I really do hope you heed these words and change your ways.

Instead of coming down on me, I hope you learn that you need to keep at it (this deals with everything in your life, not just in learning how to improve your income).

Chris Carpenter's Google Cash methods work. It's just that it will take time for you to find your own way.

Instead of complaining, I suggest you test why you failed... do you need to improve your ad writing skills... do you need to offer a better product... do you need to get inside your prospect's head better?

I promise you that if you stop focusing on attacking me and start focusing on those questions, then you'll stand a chance to make money using affiliate programs.

I truly wish you success in life.
