Contentment in Gratitude - Your Contentment Comes From Your Gratitude
Contentment in gratitude is key to living a life of abundance.
At first, this can seem a bit perplexing. If you feel as if your life isn't where you'd like it to be, how do you feel gratitude?
How do you feel an attitude of gratitude when you're striving to achieve more in order to become content?
Contentment in Gratitude Secret of Contentment
One secret in life you need to learn is the secret of contentment. You'll discover the law of abundance when you can feel contented in where you are and what you have.
There's a fine line between working to achieve more and living with a sense of contentment.
It's dangerous to your ability to feel inner peace when you're constantly living in a world where you're focused only on the future.
Remember the law of abundance. You can't live in the future. Just as you can't live in the past.
You can only live in the present moment. Right now is all that matters. When you're aware in the present, you feel this contentment in gratitude.
You realize that while you have goals, the spiritual you isn't defined by whether those goals are achieved or not. The earthly you is, but the earthly you (ego) must always take a backseat to the spiritual you.
"Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for." - Epicurus
Contentment in Gratitude Your Ego
You ego is the part of your being that tries to avoid contentment in gratitude. It's threatened by inner peace, abundance, and calm. It's only focus is to cause you to feel inadequate and always focused on how the next achievement will finally make you happy.
It gets in the way of your ability to look around at all that is currently good in your life.
You need to b
reak free of your ego and see through the eyes of now. See and appreciate all that you have in this moment in time.
Find gratitude.
It doesn't matter if you're having trouble with the bills as you struggle with creating prosperity. It doesn't matter if you haven't figured out your spiritual growth path as it'll always be a learning process.
Be thankful for what you've already accomplished or learned in life and discover contentment in gratitude.
"Saying thank you is more than good manners. It is good spirituality." - Alfred Painter
Change your life,
Matt
