I feel that having a collection of daily spiritual insights is important, so I've decided to build one here.

I'll provide you with some quotes and insights from others as well as share some of my own thoughts on spirituality, inner peace and abundance.

I was reading about Carol Burnett the other day. Her story is interesting. Her career was started when a man gave her $1,000 to move from California to New York. All he asked was she re-pay him in five years and that she never reveal his identity.

She always wondered why he never wanted his generosity publicized until she came across this passage in Matthew 6:2-4,
" When you give a gift to a beggar, don't shout about it as the hypocrites do... When you do a kindness to someone, do it secretly... And your Father who knows all secrets will reward you..."
I saw the effects of this daily spiritual insight early in my life. When I was 16, I had a friend who's mom would find an envelope of cash every once in a while in the mailbox. They never knew who put it there, but it always seemed to come at a good time.

Luckily for them, someone they knew practiced this spiritual principle. Whoever it was, they gave away a little abundance and made a difference.

Feel the Magic of Nature
Each day, take some time to notice the beauty of nature. See the simplicity in it, yet realize how complex it all is.

Depending where you live, you may have to challenge yourself to find places to do this. If you live in a large city as I do (Los Angeles), sometimes you need to really look for a piece of nature amongst the concrete ;-)

One thing that always fills me with wonder is seeing the distant mountains as I drive over the hill into the Valley. Ever since I moved here, those mountains have captivated me.

Realize that getting away from the bustle and immersing yourself in nature is a spiritual act. It can fill you with a sense of inner peace. There's something magical about your surroundings if you allow that magic to flow through you.
