Discovering Your Life Purpose
Leads You to Uncover the
Essence of Your Soul

Many people misunderstand the entire concept of discovering your life purpose.

What are your thoughts on the subject?

Do you associate the words “life purpose” with people like missionaries, scientists, nuns, priests, or maybe doctors?

Have you fallen into society’s trap that says only certain people have a higher calling to do so-called "significant" or "meaningful" work?

The fact is that you also are designed to live a life of purpose and fulfillment. In reality, living with purpose is merely identifying for yourself what you expect from life and what type of specific goals and objectives are most important.

Discovering your Life Purpose can sometimes be a challenge and difficult. I'd love to create a community here where you can ask questions and get answers from me or other visitors. I've set up this community below. Click here to ask your Life Purpose questions of other visitors to this page!

It’s a misconception that only those who sacrifice all worldly possessions or their personal goals and dreams are living with purpose.

In actuality, discovering your life purpose will open up a world where you experience joy, satisfaction, contentment, and happiness as you build toward fulfilling your dream life.

You may have heard of people who are currently living their dream lives and talk about how they’ve experienced some sort of spiritual calling to do what they do. It’s almost as if they have no other choice but to follow an inner intuition in regards to their life work.

This is how it is for some people. However, if you don’t feel that “inner knowing” yet, it’s not time for you to feel despair. Instead, understand that somewhere deep within is the answer to your life. It’s simply a matter of taking the time to reflect within and to begin the discovery process.

Think about it, do any of the questions below sound familiar to you?

  • Have you ever felt like you were supposed to be doing more with your life?
  • Have you ever yearned to use your natural talents to contribute to the world?
  • Have you ever felt like your current or previous jobs didn’t use your talents fully?
  • Do you ever feel like you are wasting time on things that aren’t important to you?
  • Do you desire to serve others in a bigger way but don’t know how?
  • Has your daily routine become predictable and boring?
  • Do you ever wonder if “this is it”?
  • Do you yearn for greater meaning in your work and other activities?

If you’ve found yourself asking these types of questions, then you’re ready to begin discovering your life purpose!

Don’t worry if it all sounds a bit confusing right now. The point is that your inner soul is hinting to you that it’s time for positive change in your life. That’s why these questions keep popping up.

At this point, just rejoice that once you do identify your purpose and begin living through intention, you’ll no longer be:

  • Living with daily frustration and anger
  • Feeling depressed
  • Hurting those around you that you love so much
  • Going down life paths that result in dead ends
  • Lacking the ability to make a difference with your most precious gift: Your Life
  • Beating up the one person who matters most: YOU!

Instead, after discovering your life purpose, you’ll begin to:

  • Make a difference to others... feeling a sense of meaning
  • Live a life of acceptance where you're no longer fighting life
  • Develop a solid life vision
  • Experience a joyous journey
  • Leave behind the pain of thinking in terms of past regret/future fear and discover how to live peacefully NOW
  • Live every day with child-like enthusiasm
  • Develop a personal philosophy: your personal values, principles, morals

At this point, you may be asking, “How do I actually find my purpose?” The answer is simple: it’s already inside you and you simply need to bring it to the surface.

Now, actually bringing your purpose into your consciousness so that you can understand it and live it might not be so easy.

Realize that only you have these types of answers. Others can help to get you thinking but only you can decide to invest the time necessary when it comes to discovering your life purpose.

Here’s a few clues to help you begin the journey. Begin to reflect on and write down that which you feel passionate about. What comes easy to you? What do you love to do whether or not you’re paid for it or anyone even knows about it? What is truly important to you?

As you start to uncover you passions, likes, and natural talents, just keep in mind that this journey for discovering your life purpose will ultimately lead you to discover the essence of your very soul.
