How Would You Rate Your Life Enthusiasm?

Do you have an enthusiasm for life?

It's important you have a strong sense of self motivation when you're seeking life abundance. Without a passion for living, it's hard to turn your want of abundance into a reality.

If you find that you have a tough time feeling enthusiasm throughout each day, let me challenge you to take a good look at why. If you don't tackle this issue now, then when will you?

This is the kind of thing many people procrastinate on until they "wake up" years later wondering why they're so unhappy with their lives. If you lack self motivation now, just imagine how you're going to feel in five years when you realize you never took the proper steps for life abundance.

Not Enjoying What You Do

The most obvious culprit for your lack of life enthusiasm could be that you just aren't doing the things that "fill you up" spiritually. An example of this could be working a job just to pay the bills, rather than doing something you find creatively inspiring.

As an example, I used to allow myself to work at jobs that had good income potential but that I just hated doing. Over the years I learned that, for me, it's more important to enjoy my days, even if that means making a bit less. I found that I actually felt more abundance even though the money was less. I felt more spiritually fulfilled.

Only you can decide what mix of money/enjoyment is right for you. Whatever it is, pay close attention to your level of over-all enthusiasm. How much natural self motivation does your work inspire in you?

Subtracting Life's Pleasures

Are you so focused on achieving that you've neglected actually living? If so, your enthusiasm will suffer.

Sometimes, when you're not so thrilled with where you are in life, you begin to concentrate so much on achieving more that you stop doing the fun things that feed your soul. It can be difficult to sustain self motivation when you go down this road.

You think you'll come back to the fun things later. You say to yourself, "Once I have this much money… or, once I achieve this goal… or, once I have a certain monthly cash flow… or, once I get married… or, ……" And the list goes on and on.

Again, I have life experience in this area. There was a time when I was so driven to build a business that I completely sapped the fun out of my life. I stopped doing that which made me enjoy life. Over time, my enthusiasm for what I was doing was gone.

For me, it was things like playing my guitar, writing music, jogging, weight lifting, going to Starbucks for a coffee while I read, going to the movies, going to a concert, etc. I now schedule time for all this again while I still work on building websites and investing in real estate.

I'm achieving and enjoying. Yes, that is possible ;-)

And I have such enthusiasm and self motivation for doing all that I do each day of my life. What a difference!

What pleasures have you subtracted from your life? Can you see a correlation between that and your lack of self motivation or enthusiasm? If so, it's time you start making changes so abundance will appear in your life.

Pressuring Yourself To Be More

You don't have to do anything.

Read that sentence again and take it literally.

You don't have to do anything.

If you so choose, you can stop working and move to the beach. I'm being completely serious. When I internalized this concept, it was like a huge weight was lifted off my spirit.

If you internalize this idea, you will see a return of enthusiasm and self motivation like you can't believe. You'll be immensely closer to the life abundance you may now find elusive.

Stop pressuring yourself to get things done and just allow yourself to be. Realize that no one can force you to do anything. You have the power to choose.

Hate your job? Quit right now! Will there be consequences? Of course, and I'd rather you make the choice to gradually change to doing something else. Living on the street could also dampen your enthusiasm a bit ;-)

But, I'm just trying to get you to see that no one is holding a gun to your head regarding any of your life circumstances. You choose to get up each day and live a life of abundance and happiness or one of misery.

Release the pressure that you must continue doing things you hate doing. You can stop those things and gravitate toward what makes you happy anytime you want.

If there are aspects to your life that sap your energy, enthusiasm and self motivation, you can decide to make the needed changes or you can decide not to. It's up to you.

You don't have to do anything you don't want to.

Change your life,

Matt
