Do You Have a Fear of the Future?
Today, it can be easy to have a fear of the future, can’t it?
All around you, you hear negative talk.
You hear about corruption by so-called “leaders” of State or large multinational companies.
You hear about how the economy is a mess and watch as officials try to prop up a dying horse.
You hear rumors and whispers about a possible recession or depression in the US and how badly that could affect not only Americans but other markets as well.
You hear about church officials doing horrible things to children.
You hear about the divorce rate, the crime rate, the drug rate, the homeless rate, etc.
It’s all around you, isn’t it? All this negative talk begins to take its toll.
Fear of the Future The Ying & Yang of Life
Before my list of “horribles” makes you go drink a very large alcoholic drink, listen up.
There has always been talk of doom and gloom since the beginning of time. And, yes, there have been many dark periods of hardship in the history of humankind.
All of life seems to go in cycles. Things are up and great and then things have a tendency to go sour.
Ying and yang. Light and dark. Hot and cold. Duality. It’s the nature of this place we call Earth.
Maybe you have some dark and trying periods ahead of you in your personal life.
Maybe America is due for a little downtime. That may be just the way of the universe.
Or, it may be from a lack of oversight by the people on what their so-called “leaders” have been doing for decades now.
Either way, accept that it is what it is.
Life will never be all fun and games. However, some of life’s best lessons are learned while going through a tragedy. If you reflect on your life, you know that’s true.
Rather than living with a fear of the future, why not try “re-wiring” your mind and its thoughts to allow you to live abundantly within this very moment in time.
Every moment you’re experiencing is all you have anyway. You can’t live in the future… you can only live right now.
Think about the lessons hardships teach you. Maybe an economic downturn will bring people closer as we all need the help that situation would require. Maybe family and a sense of community will reign supreme as the useless glorifying of entertainment and leisure we see currently will be seen for what it really is.
Life’s not always easy, but it sure is interesting… it all just depends on how you allow your mind to see it.
