Hope and Abundance

Let's touch on the subject of hope today.

If you're in a state of mind where you've given up on your chances for a life of abundance and happiness, I'd like to offer some comfort.

No matter how bad things in your life may look right now, there is always hope. That's one of the wonders of life. You always have a second chance.

The only thing that can stop you from rising above your current situation is if you give up. I want to make sure you keep that fighting spirit within you.

I've written elsewhere on my site about some of my past frustrations in my business and financial pursuits, so I won't go into all that detail again here. Let me just say that I had some extremely bleak days back then.

I had days where I really did have no hope and felt like giving up. I felt like I was working so hard for so little reward. Sometimes I felt absolutely beaten. I figured that maybe I should stop trying so hard to build myself an independent business and just go work for someone else.

But I always managed to pull myself up out of that abyss. I held on to that thin belief and hope for better days - a life of abundance was waiting if I didn't give up.

I'd like to share with you some words from a very obscure song, called "Beggars & Thieves", from an obscure band, also called Beggars & Thieves. You've probably never heard of them, but they're one of my favorites.

To this day, if I'm feeling at all frustrated and feeling my hopes waning, these words fill me with more resolve to keep working toward my aspirations. I hope they can mean something similar to you:

"I dance the streets in the city of Angels,
ten years of my life
With hopes and dreams that I know would come true,
just a matter of time
I hitched a ride out of a railway station,
nothin' left but my pride
Watched the city lights fadin' away,
thank God I got out alive
I found myself in the city of mirrors,
empty pockets, hard times
Hurt so deep, had to bury my fears,
to find the strength to survive
And then at night, I'd hear the call,
and I KNOW I'LL TRY AGAIN
So hard to believe, we're living
out our lives like Beggars & Thieves..."
I want you to know that no matter how frustrated you are right now at this moment, things will pick up for you. As long as you can keep picking yourself up off the mat, you always get a second chance at redemption with each new effort toward abundance.

I kept giving myself second chances until I arrived at a business model that matched my personality, my need to write down my feelings and my need to help others like you - building websites!
I promise you this - If you keep a hold of the flames of hope, no matter how difficult it is sometimes to keep that hold, you will arrive at a better day.

You'll arrive at life abundance.
