Is Negative Thinking Affecting Your Abundance Goals?

Negative thinking has no place in your pursuits of inner peace and abundance.

That's easy for me to say but an entirely different thing for you and I to abide by. The unfortunate reality is that negative thinking is prevalent in the minds of most people.

All around us, we hear people filling our minds with how bad things are. Do you hear these negative words, allow yourself to fill your mind with negative thoughts, and then allow this thinking to result in negative human emotions?

It's vital that you break this habit. Realize it's only a habit. Even if you've thought negatively all your life, you can break this destructive cycle.

"If constructive thoughts are planted, positive outcomes will be the result. Plant the seeds of failure and failure will follow."
- Sidney Madwed

Realize that your thoughts today play a huge role in determining your results for tomorrow. When you allow negative thinking to invade your mind, you're attracting more problems. You're predicting a future where you experience more misery.

Yes, if you're experiencing misery in the present, it's difficult to replace the negative with the positive. No one said it's easy. But, you desire inner peace and abundance. Thinking in those terms is the first step to realizing it.

Your own negative thinking also attracts other negative people. Together, you become mutual complainers. Complaining is dangerous. It verbalizes your destructive mind-talk.

As you complain about something, you're cementing the idea into your mind that there's no way out. It makes it that much harder for you to think up solutions that will help you create a positive, abundant life.

When you're down, it can seem as if there will be no end to your pain. Realize that there is always an abundance of good ideas. Change your thinking and allow yourself to reflect on what you can learn during your time in pain. With your learning comes the needed knowledge to affect positive change in your life.

"Believe it is possible to solve your problem. Tremendous
things happen to the believer. So believe the
answer will come. It will."

- Norman Vincent Peale

If you allow yourself to indulge in negative thinking, you'll also have a tendency to blame others for what is wrong in your life. Nothing could be further from the truth.

When you can see and admit that you are where you are because of decisions you've made, only then can you create the positive thinking in your mind that results in positive change.

Don't blame others. Accept responsibility for everything in your life. Once again, learn from your experiences. Understand what types of decisions lead you into misery. The next time you're faced with a similar decision, you're better equipped to make the choice that leads to your inner peace.

What's the biggest thing you can do to reverse negative thinking into positive thinking?

Pay attention to it. From now on, pay close attention to your self-talk.

Understand that awareness is the first step to change. You can't change anything until you realize something is there needing to be changed.

Just be aware. The next time you hear yourself indulging in negative thinking, stop and reflect. Why are you thinking this way? What's the real issue? What needs to be done to turn the problem around?

"The problem is not that there are problems. The
problem is expecting otherwise and thinking
that having problems is a problem."

- Theodore Rubin

Allowing that problems will come up and are normal is the first step to thinking positively. The next step is to move forward on thinking up solutions.

"Don't dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on
what to do next. Spend your energies on moving
forward toward finding the answer."

- Denis Waitley

By placing an emphasis on turning negative thinking into positive thinking is the first step to realizing the life of abundance and inner peace you're seeking.

Change your life,

Matt
