The Power of Positive Thinking Book by Norman Vincent Peale is a Must-Read
The power of positive thinking book has gone a long way in helping me understand the “POWER” we all possess in regards to our thoughts. The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale is a fantastic read and I highly encourage you to pick it up and read it. Beyond the book, though, what about you? Do you tap into the benefits of positive thinking? Or, do you think it's all nonsense? I have to admit that even though I always thought I deeply believed I could think my way to abundance, it wasn't until recently that this idea really soaked into my mind.
I was reading the Power of Positive Thinking book and I began to think about two friends of mine. These two friends differ greatly when it comes to how they allow themselves to think. The first believes in thinking negatively and the other believes in the power of positive thinking. The other day, I found myself reflecting on how different their lives are. My "negative" friend is always sick. Granted, there are physical issues she must deal with. But, it seems to me that she invites more problems by the way she thinks. She freely talks negatively about her condition. She believes there's no hope for her to feel any better. So she continues to get sick. I believe she could think herself better if she so desired. I know because I watched my Dad do it when he came down with a serious illness 20+ years ago. I also watch my other friend who actually read the Power of Positive Thinking book. He has tried many times to build businesses without success. But, he tells me he learned something new each time and believed with everything inside that he was destined to become successful. Now, he has a thriving business making more in one month than the average person makes in two years! And he tells me that he has upped his goals and positive thinking to reach even greater heights in his business. I believe he'll do it, too. By the way, David J. Schwartz, in his book, The Magic of Thinking Big, expands on this idea of using your health as an excuse for failure in Chapter 2, “Cure Yourself of Excusitis, the Failure Disease”. At one point he says: “Bad health, in a thousand different forms, is used as an excuse for failing to do what a person wants to do, failing to accept greater responsibilities, failing to make more money, failing to achieve success.” Interested in ongoing Abundance info? The Power of Positive Thinking Book: Some Prayer InsightI’ve use Norman Vincent Peale’s book as a teaching tool quite often in my Napoleon Hill Webinar Series. One of the things he discusses is “prayer power”. Too many folks pray incorrectly and will learn quite a bit about improving your life by reading the power of positive thinking book Peale has blessed us with. Peale discusses his formula: - PRAYERIZE
- PICTURIZE
- ACTUALIZE
Here is a quote from Peale’s book regarding this formula: “I have known many people who have successfully applied this technique not only to personal affairs but to business matters…When sincerely and intelligently brought into situations, the results have been so excellent that this must be regarded as an extraordinarily efficient method of prayer. People who take this method seriously and actually use it get astonishing results.”If you read the Power of Positive Thinking book, - you’ll find that you believe in yourself more
- you’ll learn about how a peaceful mind generates power
- you’ll learn how to have constant energy
- you’ll learn how to be happy
- you’ll learn how to stop worrying
- and so much more
