Why should you work on your self improvement and personal growth?
If you’re answering, yes, yes, yes, then you and I now know together why you’re here looking for self improvement tips! Self Improvement Tip #1:
|
||
It’s also where I lose most folks because our society has been infiltrated by an insidious disease called “it-ain’t-my-fault-itis”.
The hardest thing to do in this world is to say, “You know what, every single aspect of my life that I’m currently experiencing is my fault”.
Or, maybe a better way is to say is it’s my responsibility (rather than using the word “fault”).
How many people do you hear placing blame rather than accepting full responsibility? How about you? Have you been guilty of:
OK, time for my favorite part: Quit acting like a victim! Stop making excuses for why you’re at where you’re at in life up to today.
This is a “no excuses” zone. I won’t listen to or allow that type of self defeatist attitude in my part of the universe. And, if you truly want self improvement tips that WORK, then you’re going to say right now, “Hey, this guy is right! I need to take full 100% responsibility for my life right here, right now and get my butt to work turning things around”.
All right, let’s calm things down just a bit now…
Reflect on this for a moment: If everything in your life is your full responsibility and you don’t like where you are at this moment, then the liberating thought is that you have full power to create positive personal transformation.
You aren’t a victim in any way, shape or form. You are a powerful, liberated, “in full control” individual who has fallen for society’s insidious disease: “it-ain’t-my-fault-itis”
Now, at this moment, you can make a decision that will free you from this nonsense. All change is made in an instant…the very instant you decide to stand up, create positive change and then take action on that decision!
So, what’s it gonna be? Click away and continue with “I’m a victim” or stick around here and start turning your life around?
Excellent…I’m happy to see that discovering and using self improvement tips is truly something you’re serious about.
Once you’ve decided to create positive and empowering change in your life, the next step is to define your dream & get a burning desire for its achievement. I didn’t make this up. This is what Napoleon Hill tells us in books such as “Think & Grow Rich” and “The Law of Success in 16 Lessons”.
Without a dream or “chief aim”, you’ll never go far. In fact, I’m willing to bet that this is exactly why you’re dissatisfied with your life. You haven’t ever sat down and defined what it is that you want out of life.
While this is a process you need to go through, here’s a question you can ask yourself that will get you started on the right track:
If money was no object, what would you do with your life?
Think, think, think about that deeply.
Money is NO OBJECT!
That’s a tough one for most folks to accept.
Money is No Object
Do you see that if money was no object that just thinking about your dream car, house or boat gets a bit old really fast?
If money is no object, then can’t you begin to think in terms of what sort of legacy would I leave on this earth when I’m gone?
How about taking those unlimited funds and helping children starving on the streets, going into public office and getting rid of abusive laws, helping develop real programs that allow older folks to participate in society and add their wisdom to the world, etc.
Why not go over the heads of corrupt gov’t organizations that say they’re “solving world hunger” and actually do it…remember, all the money in the world is at your disposal.
Who do you want to help? What difference do you want to make?
WHAT’s YOUR DREAM?
Define it…Get a Burning Desire for it’s Achievement…Get to Work on it…
You must engage yourself in your development if you expect true, deep, lasting change.
How do you “engage”? Simple
“You become what you think about” Earl Nightingale told us that decades ago in his audio, “The Strangest Secret”.
What you think about is largely determined by what you allow your mind to be exposed to. Expose it to a daily dose of negative newspapers, negative TV news, negative “friends” on Facebook, etc, and it’s easy to fall right back into the “I’m a victim” mentality.
Therefore, it’s vital that you read positive books and listen to positive audios on a daily basis. No, you don’t need to invest 10 hours a day. Read a couple sentences each morning. Listen to a few minutes in the car on the way to work. You’ll be amazed at how effective engaging in your personal growth and self improvement in this manner is.
“Live” events are key, too. Seek out like-minded groups you can become associated with. Go to seminars that focus on teaching you aspects of self improvement, such as leadership, personal growth, time management, relationships, energy healing, etc.
In this day and age of sitting in front of the computer and feeling isolated, it’s paramount to your growth that you get around people who are on the same personal development journey. Only then will feel the magic of a higher vibration this type of activity results in.
This idea of books, audios and live events is a system. It works 100% of the time. The issue is when you don’t engage and plug yourself into this success system on a consistent basis.
There’s no time for me to mince words. This is your one and only life (putting aside all theories that may suggest otherwise…if we do come back we don’t come back in this time and space so why wait for that “theory” to play out?) and either you’re going to engage in your self improvement or you’re not.
I can guide you but I can’t get you to do what’s necessary to change. Only you can decide to take these 3 self improvement tips and put them to use: consistently (every day) doing the right things (reading, listening, events) long enough (until you have what you want).
