Spiritual Inspiration Poems
This will be a page of spiritual inspiration poems.
I will continue to add to the collection, so check back once in awhile to catch them.
Spiritual Inspiration Poems "Broken Dreams", by Lauretta Burns
As children bring their broken toys
With tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to God
Because He was my Friend
But instead of leaving Him
In peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help
With ways that were my own.
At last I snatched them back and cried,
"How can You be so slow?"
"My child," He said, "what could I do?
You never let them go."
Spiritual Inspiration Poems "Slumber Peace", by Monica Hale-kehrt
The velvet night lay blankets of stardust on lovers and sleeping babes alike
While gentle wind voices whisper soothing melodies through waves of golden corn
Old lovingly worn porch rockers gently move in tune with the kiss of night air
The moon's silver splashes on ponds with singing chorus gives glow to the evening peace
Life is at rest, until dawn's golden glow, secure with peace in slumber that God is in His
Heaven - all is right with the world
Spiritual Inspiration Poems "Sixteen", by Lao-Tzu
Empty yourself of everything.
Let the mind rest at peace.
The ten thousand things rise and fall while the Self watches their return.
They grow and flourish and then return to the source.
Returning to the source is stillness, which is the way of nature.
The way of nature is unchanging.
Knowing constancy is insight.
Not knowing constancy leads to disaster.
Knowing constancy, the mind is open.
With an open mind, you will be openhearted.
Being openhearted, you will act royally.
Being royal, you will attain the divine.
Being divine, you will be at one with the Tao.
Being at one with the Tao is eternal.
And though the body dies, the Tao will never pass away.
Spiritual Inspiration Poems "The Crystal Gazer", by Sara Teasdale
I shall gather myself into my self again,
I shall take my scattered selves and make them one.
I shall fuse them into a polished crystal ball
Where I can see the moon and the flashing sun.
I Shall sit like a sibyl, hour after hour intent.
Watching the future come and the present go -
And the little shifting pictures of people rushing
In tiny self-importance to and fro.
Change your life,
Matt
