Spiritual Patience

Spiritual patience can be difficult to exercise. Dictionary.com describes patience as, "...calmness, self-control, and the willingness or ability to tolerate delay".

When we're seeking answers about the soul, it's usually during tough times. Or you could just be going through a confusing time or situation.

During situations where I'm seeking answers and they're not coming, I try my best not to press too hard. I know that's not always easy, but you can't dwell on whatever your issue is if your own answers just aren't materializing.

That's where spiritual patience comes in. If you're troubled, maybe it's best to let your problem sit in the background for awhile. Be calm. Stay in control. Watch your thoughts as the observer.

Usually, your inner turmoil is caused by worrying thoughts you have regarding your past events or future possibilities. Try to tap into this very moment. Realize that right now, you're in no immediate danger. You do have time to make sense of whatever is troubling you.

We live in a world dominated by thoughts of, "I want it now!". But your higher, spiritual self isn't always in a rush. Sometimes, your higher self is trying to teach you or enlighten you on something that you may not necessarily want to face right now.

That's OK. Don't avoid it entirely, but give yourself the time to "live" with it for awhile. You may need to exercise spiritual patience as you get used to this new place your spiritual side of you is trying to take you.

One of the reasons you may be resisting and feeling inner turmoil is that your acceptance of this new place your higher self is leading you to, may cause quite a bit of change in your physical world. It may mean the end or start of a new relationship, a new place of employment, a move, a change of your place of worship, etc.

Change can be difficult. But without change, you don't grow. Take this heed to be patient in your decision seriously and allow time to help you. Sometimes, as I let things "sit" for awhile, the answer comes when I least espect it, seemingly out of the blue.

Change your life,

Matt
