The Perils of Prosperity
|
||
What I mean is, don't focus your entire being on "getting more" to the point where you neglect your higher self and inner peace.
From personal experience I know all too well the perils of prosperity.
When your mind spends all its time in the future (that special day when you'll have all you could ever want or need) and no time in the present, experiencing all that is wonderful about your life, you end up missing out on life when all is said and done.
Through spiritual emergence, you learn that the secret of abundance and prosperity is always being in the present moment.
Yes, it's OK to strive for more. Just be sure you know that, in the end, there will be only your spirit left and the knowledge and knowing you grew into over your life's adversities and victories.
Learn to be aware in the present moment always.
Never allow your definition of moral belief to be altered or affected by your search for prosperity. This world is full of people who have "sold their souls", so to speak, for all the earthly "treasures" they could ever want.
In the end, however, these people are miserable inside because they end up realizing that any sense of their authentic self has been stripped away in the name of "prosperity".
Stay true to yourself as you look to achieve abundance and prosperity. Don't get caught up in anything that causes you to pervert your moral beliefs.
If you seek prosperity and abundance, you'll encounter adversity. If you look to build a life enriched with financial abundance, fulfilling relationships, and inner peace, you'll face ups and downs.
When you seek a life that's better than average, be prepared to learn lessons as you're knocked down. If you can stay the course and get up each time, you'll end up with all the prosperity you could ever imagine.
Once you begin to see the fruits of your labor, be sure to avoid one of the perils of prosperity that befells many people. I'll allow the words of Confucius to convey the message:
Obviously, the perils of prosperity aren't worth giving up your dreams for.
You just need to be aware that the search for prosperity has the potential for unhappiness if you lose focus of who you are and what you're all about inside.
Change your life,
Matt
