Three Self Empowerment Keys - Keys to Self Empowerment

Did you know that there are three self empowerment keys?

Don't worry, I don't pretend to know the only three, but I'd like to offer you my insight into how you can feel more self empowered in your pursuit for a life of abundance.

Three Self Empowerment Keys
Accepting Responsibility

"Each of us is responsible for the conditions in our lives,
and we have the capacity to change anything about
those conditions, if we commit to it."

- Edgar Cayce

I've always loved this Edgar Cayce quote and found that I lived within this idea even before I knew who Edgar Cayce was.

How about you? Do you accept that you and you alone are responsible for your current place in your life?

Or, do you have a tendency to place blame outside of yourself whenever you stumble or become frustrated with how things are?

Of my three self empowerment keys, accepting responsibility is the most important. If you continue to aim blame on everyone and everything other than yourself, you'll never come to a place of self empowerment.

Just remember, if you're happy today, it's because of choices you made leading up to it. If you're miserable, it's because of choices you made leading up to it. Don't get emotionally tied up in this - just accept it.

Three Self Empowerment Keys
Surrender Yourself

The second of the three self empowerment keys is the idea of "surrender".

This can seem confusing at first as your wrap your head around the concept. Self empowerment, of course, deals with the idea of "power".

You'd like to feel that you have power over your life. You'd like to feel that you aren't at the mercy of events, but instead can have an impact on what happens to or around you, right?

While you seek self empowerment in dealing with the events of your life (physical), at the same time, you must surrender yourself to God, the higher power (spiritual). Whether you choose to call your version of the higher power God or not, surrender you must do.

When you invest time in meditation, you learn to give of yourself and, in the process, spiritual growth occurs.

Three Self Empowerment Keys
Your Free Will

"In addition to self-awareness, imagination and conscience, it is the fourth human endowment-independent will-that really makes effective self-management possible. It is the ability to make decisions and choices... Empowerment comes from learning how to use this great endowment in the decisions we make every day."
- Stephen Covey

Just like the idea of surrendering your personal power, you also need to balance your free will.

I never said this stuff was easy! ;-)

On the one hand, you must assert your will in the way the above Stephen Covey quote talks of. On the other hand, you must also surrender to God's will. In this way, you're allowing a higher, spiritual power work through you to help you become self empowered.

"Strength does not come from physical capacity. It
comes from an indomitable will."

- Mahatma Gandhi

Describing these three self empowerment keys is easy. Enacting them in your life and living them is another thing entirely.

However, if you commit to living them you'll transform yourself into a person of self empowerment.

Change your life,

Matt
